What We Offer
Sillage Hair Academy caters for those who want to obtain the QCTO accredited certificate – 514101000: Hairdresser Qualification.
Students attend lectures full-time for 1 year for the knowledge and practical modules.
Students then work in a SARS registered hairdressing salon to complete their workplace practical skills hours experience. This is a two-year apprenticeship under contract.
As an alternative, the student works under contract in a hairdressing salon for 3 years and attends lectures one day weekly, to obtain the required qualification. The learner must complete this course and supply Sillage with a certified copy before the NQF level 4 summative assessment.
Lectures are offered in English for students with matric. If the student does not hold a matric certificate, there is a FLC program available, 88895 Foundation learning certificate – math literacy and English communication.
We train with the aim of obtaining not just a valid registered qualification but a lifelong passion for hairdressing. We strive to create an atmosphere inducive to creative development where we simulate the workplace environment. Sillage Hair Academy’s small classes guarantee personal attention as we strive to provide life skills to assist the learner in succeeding in their chosen career.
